Former Canadian Press sportswriter Neil Stevens, who earned Hall of Fame recognition in both lacrosse and hockey while criss-crossing the globe in more than three decades with the national news agency, has died after a battle with cancer. He was 74.

I sped read Browning's autobiography at my MIL's years ago. I remember being surprised by how well-written it was.

I went to high school with his daughter at the time he was working on the book and shortly after. I remember talking to him at a school concert sometime after the 1992 Olympics and he told me he thought Browning would continue until 1994 and he was right.
