Ok my fellow skaters, I had another great skate, and it was just a practice today. But I must say that I feel like I did even a little better this time around. When I first got to the Rink though I watched a skater friend of mine skate her Program and I must say that she was fantastic!!! When I got on the ice after I practiced a combination Ice-Dance move that my coach Nick gave me to do,and I really feel like I'm getting the hang of it!!! LOL. Although I'm still trying to figure out how to move from place to place and cover the Ice while Ice-Dancing. I even tried it not hanging onto the wall!! I also practiced a One-Foot Glide. Which I am able to do with at least one hand on the wall, and I am definitely getting better with keeping my foot up longer. I also took another skater on for a bit, and she let me try a bit of an Ice-Dance hold on her. I must say too that my legs still feel shaky and I still feel little nerves in them while trying to balance. But it's something I hope to get confidence enough from to get over. I am getting a little better with not holding onto the wall though. I also haven't practiced Spins for a while. So I tried a few of those, and found myself doing a little bit better with them. Although I still have to work on balancing at the same time. It would really be great to have some of you come to see me practice sometime. What do you all say? That's all for now until next week.
