I am stress cleaning again.

I'm low-key hoping that Ilia doesn't go for the quad loop unless he absolutely needs it. Even his triple loop looked kind of squirly during the Team FS event.

ETA Ashley's remarks about Ilia and his tech content somehow soothed my nerves. I need to stop becoming invested in gifted kids when they're just babies like Ilia, Alysa, Nathan, Sasha Trusova, Mirai, as well as Sasha Cohen and Oksana Baiul long ago.

I'll check back in after the competition.

In Italy 13 is good luck (and 17 is bad luck, with Friday the 17th / diciassette venerdì especially bad luck), so hoping we don’t have a “Friday the 13th” style competition.

Of course maybe it means good luck for Grassl and bad luck for everyone else

Luck of the draw. There was a French judge on the SP panel.

The pool of 13 judges was drawn from the feds that had a skater in the FS in Boston - USA, KAZ, JPN, FRA, KOR, GEO, ITA, LAT, SUI, CAN, AZE, SVK, SWE, CHN, EST, ESP, POL. Because there were 17 feds, 4 of them did not wind up with a judge in the Olympic judging pool - Slovakia, Japan, Estonia & Poland were the unlucky 4 that didn't get selected.
