Another FABULOUS performance from Hana and Daniil! Their Junior Dance Grand Prix gold medal is WELL deserved! A mesmerizing performance that i enjoyed more than many senior FDs! Again, congratulations to Denis, Melissa, and of course the legendary Oksana Grishuk! I cannot wait to see how this couple develops over time. Hard to believe Hana is 15 with her flair and style!

I will say that; I'm much more enjoying the juniors/seniors outside of top 6 than the top ice dance couples.

Love all the skaters, but I'm so ready to see the top couples retiring already.... Like 4 years ago ready.

Doesn't help when half of them are quite seemingly about to fall apart and crawlingggggg around the ice. But until the system is changed to get away from choreographic elements and the showers of +4 and +5 for the 'top' teams when even some juniors actually do more, this is what we get.

Oh, I see the Canadian team were 3rd in the free dance. That's good, I enjoyed their program.

Still not getting invested in any junior teams, but I will try and watch more junior dance when I can in future.

Was still skating for Russia as recently as late 2022, so at most 2.5 years without consideration of when the idea of citizenship may have come up. But he was with Dostatni to start IIRC.

Not sure. He competed with Jane Calhoun in US qualifying comps in 2023-2024 but they didn't qualify for nationals. I beg TPTB please do not make these two get married to expedite citizenship.

According to this article, he came to Colorado Springs in 2022 from Kirov, Russia.

She'll turn 17 in May 2027, so 2027-8 is the first season they can turn senior.

He skated with Jane Calhoun in the 2023-2024 season so at least since 2023. They were coached by the notorious “marry ‘em off” coach Dostatni, but Calhoun was too young to get married (I think and I hope) during that partnership.

He probably wouldn’t have been able to get a green card until he turned 18 anyway, and that happened recently.

Just got back from vacation and junior dance is all I’ve bothered watching upon my return. Loved all of this so much more than senior dance. Can we have the juniors at the Olympics instead?
