Lyons/Haubrich - 2tw - high & airy, plenty of room for a 3rd rotation; SBS 3s - very nice! Oooof - lift came down way early - base level; throw 3s also great; also only a base level on the DS; SBS spins out-of-synch... They may have potential.

Actually, not really - Bombardier/Mimar weren't ready until after the 3rd host spot had been given away.

I asked the boards about that last October, when they had a good score or a score that I thought should’ve given them the third open vacant spot, and it was still given away.

I mean, it’s a host spot, so they don’t need minimums or anything. What’s there to lose? And they still didn’t invite them.

But I guess they just weren’t ready.

I posted an excerpt from an article post-Skate Canada GP (that you probably didn't see) that quoted Mike Slipchuk as saying SC didn't want to rush them out onto a Grand Prix stage and preferred to build up their confidence - B/M went to CS Warsaw Cup in November and won the bronze.

The spot was given away because BoMim didn't score well at their first domestic competition & Skate Canada had to fill the spot or give a team on the Alternates List appropriate notice of the assignment. All the host feds make a point of filling their TBD spots at least 4-6 weeks ahead of their GP.
