Yuma, Jason, Shun (the bronze was a hard choice... normally I'd say Aliev, Aymoz or Messing, but they're not skating their best lately).

I had such high hopes for Aliev, but it isn't to be! His skating style has been so reminiscent of Alexei Urmanov! I was hoping to be taken back to that era eventually! I haven't watched much in the last decade or so, but I remember Dmitri's stamina was in question! He was smooth as butter early on, but the speed, stroking around before jumps slowed down precipitously and he's not strong enough to catch those landings like Urmanov or Ilia Kulik could save! :p:D:scream::wall::summer::kickass:

Urmanov did win a gold medal at the Olympics.

I would say based on the trajectories of all these men - Kagiyama, Brown, Messing, or maybe Sato

I want to add that Aliev is always capable of skating better than anyone here except maybe Kagiyama (but like his teammate Kolyada, he hardly does), and I think that Messing's main problem was his boots at SC, so I would say that issue should be resolved and he could be 2nd as well. Sato is only going to get better. Jason should stay on his feet if he expects to medal.

Isn't Aymoz injured?

AFAIK, Kevin Aymoz is not injured anymore. But his injury was so long this summer he couldn't skate for such a long time (about 3 months), he is still out of shape and not consistent.
