Well, the Pulitzer Committee doesn’t give an award in some categories if they don’t find any of the choices worthy. And no award was given in 2005, 2007, and 2008 so there’s precedent. (And I thought some higher members of FSU decided to rescind PSOTY after Yagudin won). I’m just saying consider having “none” as an option. I’d be curious if people would vote for it. Just having that option doesn’t take away your ability to do PSOTY every year.

While that may be, I think the Shib sibs have taken one look at this season's free-for-all in dance and probably said, "Thanks, we'll take our Olympic medal and go now," even if it isn't official.

I think the ice dancers win this year (though I will always covet Nathan Bartholomey ) I'm happy with Paul Poirier, Liu Xinyu, and I'll toss Maksym Spodyriev in his V-neck tango romantica over-the-topness blouse all being in the mix.
