While I love Sonja's voids, I am doubtful the USFS would give her SKAM, as it usually goes to an up and comer. I'm not even sure if Sonja was planning on still competing past the 25/26 season.
I think after a few summer comps, we might have better ideas. The day after Worlds conclude, not so much.

Is none of the above an option? Assuming the big 3 plus Sarah are staying in, USFS should wait until the last minute and if no one else is laying down fully rotated combos, do the right thing and release the spot.

The USFS isn't going to release the spot.
Chances are, if SJvF doesn't get 2 GPs on the initial assignments, they'll hold out in the hopes that she is able to pick up a 2nd one once people start withdrawing with the back-up plan being her getting a SkAm host spot if she doesn't get a 2nd one.
