I can't believe I am going to say this but I hope Stephen gets that spot. Lesson to me to never write someone off completely but he is a different skater this season.

Which is worse? Being in 7th at the end of the Canadian Men's SP after training for 2 weeks before his first competition or being in 10th at the end of the US Nats RD after training for 8 months?

That was an excellent event. Probably one of the best men's competitions in a LONG time. I have been pulling for Gogo this season..Nice to see a bit of a buffer, but it would be great to see him knock it out of the park tomorrow to make the decision crystal clear...

Obviously, we need a trophy for the skate with the least possible effort put in. The Shibs and Keegan can tie for gold in this category.

I'm not a Keegan fan, but I could see how he might have looked at the results of the last couple of nationals and thought he could just show up and win a medal. The Shibs on the other hand... with the level that US dance is at, I have no idea what they were thinking or who was lying to them to make them think they had a chance.

I saw John Kim live at Challenge a few years ago and he was landing quads and triple axels handily in the practice. Nice to see him do it on competition ice. Great to see Gogo not only land the jumps but skate with feeling and abandonment. Really good event showing some very positive signs for men's skating in Canada.

I don’t know because the USFS didn’t deem Canadian skating fans important enough to show us pairs or dance.
