2026 US Nationals Figure Skating Womens SP "Like a Scare" (they're going to take you there)

We weren't born yesterday so we've seen more than one Amber short program?

I know rational isn't your thing, but consistency isn't about one day. Have you already repressed the GPF?

With her short programs at Nebelhorn, cup of China, Finland, the Grand Prix final, and now US nationals She missed the triple axel once, at the Grand Prix final. She’s more than proven it to me. She is 80% with ultra C element.

After that Grand Prix final miss she skated cleanly.

So the big 3 have further solidified their spots on the Olympic team (though even if they hadn't, BOW should save them). Looks like USFS wants to push Everhardt over the retiring Tennell. Most intriguing team selection is likely who gets the final spot to 4CC.

The Junior Worlds team selection (2 spots) is also interesting:

von Felten needs her big elements to justify her selection so let's see how she does in FS. None of the senior contenders were squeaky clean, Lin-Gracey's noncall on her combo notwithstanding. For now, I'd suggest choosing Shao [J1] because she hit cold in the junior event and skated well internationally. Chao [J2] has also been very consistent internationally, though she routinely gets carrots and that's a handicap. OTOH, it's not like Lin-Gracey (inconsistent), Zhang (unreliable 3-3), or Lee (underrotates a lot) are known for technical reliability.

Women SP Group 3

Interview to the Women Olympic Team
Thank you for this!
I just tried to watch it, and had to turn it off - Tara talks incessantly and I just couldn’t do it

The top 3 women were sublime! I am thrilled that they are (most likely) going to be the American olympic team. Each brings something so unique and special to the mix.

And kudos to Johnny for calling out the incredibly unfair calling - Sarah's combo was obviously under in real time and slo mo so the fact that it wasn't even reviewed seriously undermines the credibility and integrity of this panel.
