Exactly how I remember her too. She was a couple of years older than my skater and always very kind when we met at events. A bright, shining light gone far too soon. 💔
My heart is breaking for Jodeyne and especially for Signey. It was clear they had such a beautiful father daughter relationship and she’s still so young. I didn’t know twins were expected too. Even sadder he didn’t get to live to raise his family. Wishing them all lots of strength to get through...
Bryce was very supportive of my daughter when she skated pairs at the jr level. He told her and her partner that they were going to break his and Jessica's Canadian record and was one of the first to congratulate them when they did. Very class act!
Zoey would go to daycare, the same as she would if Meagan were working at home. Meagan has shared posts of Zoey going to daycare and loving it. I've also seen lots of coaches bring their babies to work where skating moms and skaters are more than happy to help out. It could definitely be done.
Ben is a reverse skater and not many coaches are willing to take on opposite pairs. I actually met him many years ago when he came to Canada to try out with Hayleigh Bell so he's had a bit of pair experience but he will need to find a reverse girl.
I remember Cassie as the Novice pair champion...

When my daughter was a pair girl, they practiced lifts in the parking lot as well as arena lobby every day. Her partner at the time lived with us and they'd do lifts almost everywhere they went lol
Brynn Carman* and A.J. Reiss placed 4th and split that same year; Carman was formerly paired with Knierim from 2006 to 2009 in novice and juniors. Carman/Knierim placed 9th at Junior Worlds in 2009 and split soon afterward. I find it questionable that they would have been practicing quad twists...
I can 100% vouch for this. My daughter was injured before junior worlds. She had two injuries actually. Skate Canada came to assess her and through tears after a sim she assured them she could still compete. They needed her and her partner to compete to hold onto three spots because even injured...
