I know Ron C and his son. He really does need to compete,we live in a very very small place and it will give him something to work towards. His parents seem to have big ideas, and I dont even know where they got them from. I cant talk to them, they dont like me as I had to tell them to not coach him from the boxes. I am the rink Liason.
He started a year ago, but hasnt tested anything but fs 3 in ISI. I gladly encourage any skater, but boys especially.But they think he is going to land his axle soon, when he doesnt even have a walz loop loop yet. Doesnt have a backspin either, or sitspin or camel.
My daughter went over to the boy last week and asked him what his goals were. He said land his axle and double sal. She told him it took her two years for her axle and even more for her doubles. He said.. oh guess I will just work on it then. Then yesterday he asked her to do her double lutz. She did and he said, oh Im going to work on it next week!
