When Denney/Frazier ended their long program at Nationals, Haven leaned down and touched the ice. I wondered to my friends if she was done, and we were thinking who Brandon could partner with but of course never thought about Alexa. Brandon is a really strong skater and could do well with Alexa...
I'm sorry, but I don't understand your conclusion that Kate has "imposed" the expectation that mothers everywhere are required to look picture picture hours after giving birth. Nor do I understand your conclusion that Kate "deeply damag[ed] womens' self esteem" because she left the hospital...
As far as I know, the only way you can get into practice sessions is with an all-event pass. If that's different, please let me know. I've often thought that arenas (or is it USFS?) should sell practice passes outside of tickets. It's really the practices that hook you.
I bake yams in the oven like potatoes and then peel and slice them and cook them on the stove in butter and brown sugar with pineapple (and I occasionally add pineapple juice to thin the brown sugar/butter mix so it doesn't burn). You cook them for a long time on low heat until the yams are...
Thanks for that explanation @gkelly. It was a spin (duh to me). That clears up my question. I was so excited that Nathan (or anyone for that matter) was actually doing a really good scratch spin (which almost nobody does anymore)! I'll have to go home and look at the spin again to see if I can...
I was going to try and find this in the rules, but there is too much to look through, and I'm sure there is somebody here who knows. On Nathan's Skate America free skate, for his final footwook sequence, it is listed as FcCoSp4V. I saw this on another protocol sheet somewhere (don't recall whose...
I saw it on a plane as well, and I had the same reaction. I was very skeptical about another Toy Story movie because I thought the ending of #3 was perfect, but I thought this was a great ending too.
I was at the competition. K/O skated really well last night. I have never really noticed before, but it was very obvious to me last night how much better Danny is than Tarah. My friend and I were very surprised that their twist hasn't improved since they've switched to Dalilah, since she seems...
Your take on Yesterday was completely different from mine. I absolutely loved it. We sat through the credits and sang Hey Jude along with several others in the audience. It was a feel good movie, and I admit I'm a sucker from those.
Have any of you read the book What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause by John Lee and Jesse Hanley (there are other books by these authors about menopause as well)? I started reading it at the suggestion of a friend who has been to a hormone specialist (I don't think she's a doctor...
I tried using it last year and it didn't work at all for me. We asked around and found out that they were switching to an app which was only available for iPhones (but I'm not sure that was working either - we checked with the only iPhone user in our party). I'm an Android user, so no joy for...
Dr. Frog, you beat me to the punch. I live in SLC and followed Holly during that time. That double axel was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Amazing speed going in and out, no hesitation. A jump of complete beauty!
I watched this back in December (I think) and was consumed with nostalgia. I loved the Carpenters! I think Karen's voice was the one I always tried to emulate when I was singing - it was THE voice for me. Susan1, Crescent Noon is one of my absolute favorites. It's amazing how I haven't heard...
Watching dog shows makes me happy. :) I was snapping pictures to my daughter who's away at college, and she said I should get a dog. Maybe, but I've never had one and wouldn't know what to do, or what to get.
Anyway, I love the Samy ("It's so fluffy I could die!"), and the Skye, but I was happy...
