You can't really see it from this video, but there was a meaningful detail in this number: there was a big screen in the arena with a pic from their Ave Maria ending pose, and all pairs on the ice hit that position as well at the end of the number, you know, like praying together...

I saw his videomessage on IG. Good to see him smiling. Hope he can really skate one more year and strive for that Olympic participation. It would be an incredible story. Looking forward to see what he'll skate to. As he is getting more mature, he's looking more and more like his mum!

Really? I wonder when that happened. In 1997 they finished 3rd in Russian Nationals, in 1998 they said in an interview that they had skated cleanly. So I wonder when that happened. I've also been wondering why they were never sent to Junior Worlds'...
