I am tremendously saddened by the death of Anthony Geary. I was watching General Hospital and other soaps way before the Luke and Laura storyline but Geary was a force of nature. He had such power, talent and charisma as an actor, I wasn't surprised that TPTB rehabilitated the character of Luke...
That again.. Why didn't the USA select Alysa for the team competition. How soon some posters forget. Alysa was recovering from CoVid19 after Nationals when she wasn't at her best and arrived later for the Beijing Olympics. Her father was not held in high esteem by China and Alysa herself was...
hmm I don't know. It seems to me that Ilia is the kind of brash skater that would attempt a new jump for the first time at the Olympics. Why not Alysa?
Ilia doesn't like to back down from a challenge, so I don't think it's automatic that men will be split for the team event. Ilia is barely 21 and if circumstances arise that it's better for the US team that he skates both portions, he may accept that challenge. (I would hope he does not skate...
Bumping up this thread again, because it's been neglected. Nationals are coming up in 7 weeks or so and I want Caroline and Michael to have their supporters and fans here on FSU too!:cheer2:
I like S/N but not to the detriment of the other US teams. I think they will be good, but in another season or two. It took Ashley Cain a couple of seasons to upgrade her pair skills after not doing pairs for a few years. Right now I favor K/O and C/H for the Olympics. S/N would have to improve...
C/B obviously feel they haven't achieved all their goals. They want an individual medal at the Olympics, preferably gold. They're so close it would be very hard to expect them to bow out gracefully before they get another chance to go after that medal. Barring injury or illness they'll be at the...
ANL and Karen, Come on you two.. relax. It's only October you're both going to wear yourselves out if you start this quarrelling and nit picking this early in the season. You've both made your points...
To add to the commentary and not delving into the politics too closely, the present administration is not fond of Massachusetts and is probably not likely to grant any favors for The Skating Club of Boston.
Exactly. Thet slightly depleted field helped Alexa and Brandon win 2022 worlds. Of course they skated great and would've contended for the podium in a full field.
