2026 Olympics Team Event - Strategy, Predictions & Discussion

I realize that this wouldn’t work in actuality but I wish that the next segments starting order was based on results after the segment before. So, if Japan got 8th in the SD, the next segment (I think it was pairs), would skate 3rd. I realize why all the logistics would make this practically...

U.S. Women [#8]: Meet Me in St. Louis

When I saw the pictures I was thinking how much better it looked (I wouldn’t do it, I can only imagine the up keep) but it is a vast improvement. She clearly went to someone who was very skilled with hair color this time. I’ll be interested to see how it looks pulled up in a pony tail.

2025-26 US Pairs Discussion - Milano-Bound By Way of Beijing & St. Louis

I agree that USFS shouldn’t have sent S/N to get a 3rd spot. However, many (All?) of the other US Teams are pretty inconsistent and under the pressure of trying to qualify another entry might not have had these same results. I still think a different team should have been sent, but I’m not...

Keeping Track of Criminal Cases & SafeSport Suspensions in Skating

I’m confused…how does Spirodonov come into this? I didn’t see anything about him in the last 10 or so pages?

2025 U.S. Nationals in Wichita, KS & Skate America returns to Allen, TX in 2024

Speaking of fees, I just signed my daughter up for a camp and was charged a $20 processing fee. I’ve never encountered that in any camp my kids have done! It was only about 5% of the cost of the camp, but I was shocked to see it pop up on the payment page.

2023-24 US Pairs Discussion - Chan you count Howe many teams we have?

True, but I also thought Alisa’s 3 toe only being called under rotated in the short was generous. And she fell on the throw in the short. If she had stood up, they would have won. I do think that USFS wanted a team that was going to World’s to win.

2023-24 US Pairs Discussion - Chan you count Howe many teams we have?

Did she? I am not a fan of either team (My faves are McBeath/Parkman), however, looking at protocols, in the short Ellie got full credit for her 3 sal (with a small negative GOE) and Alisa’s 3 toe was called under rotated. In the free, Ellie’s 3 sal was called rotated with high GOE, and the 3...

    U.S. Ice Dance 2023-24 news & updates

I feel very conflicted. If P/C come back, C/B are very likely to be dethroned, so I understand wanting to leave at the top. But they are also halfway through an Olympic Cycle already, with chaos underneath them in the US, feels like a lot of work not to stick with it til Italy. And they are...

2023-24 US Pairs Discussion - Chan you count Howe many teams we have?

I watched both practices on Peacock yesterday and in the morning practice M/P looked fairly rough. In the evening practice they looked really strong, I was shocked. They are still rough around the edges and look like a new pair, but they are one of the few US Pairs that can land jumps and throws...

U.S. Women [#5]: Remain on the Dance Floor

That would be great if it’s sold out, especially a Friday night session. This seems like a decent size arena as well. US Figure Skating seems to be getting at least some people in the seats for both SA and this…I met people at SA who had just seen it advertised and decided to come watch, they...

U.S. Women [#5]: Remain on the Dance Floor

I just saw something on Twitter that said Lindsay and Ava will be on the Today show tomorrow to discuss their season and the upcoming US Championships, which I found a bit ironic (I know they both train fairly close to NYC, just weird with the timing of Ava withdrawing). Also, yay for some...

U.S. Women [#5]: Remain on the Dance Floor

The reason I’m an Amber Glenn fan is because she is one of the only (the only???) female American skater who rarely gets reviews on her jumps. It’s nice to not have to worry if her technical is going to drop 20 points after she finishes skating. She honestly reminds me a lot of Gracie...

I have no insider knowledge but just from looking at their social media, I am going to guess no.
