    U.S. Ladies [#30]: Cover Girls

Pure speculation on my part. Bradie was with Denise for a long time. I wonder if she just needed a change? And/or it was time to move out on her own? Yes, her interviews focused a lot on the triple axel but I do wonder if there was more to the move than that. Not saying that anything bad...

The Medical Thread: Vaccine Search / Staying Healthy / Treatments Etc

I’m officially 2 weeks post dose 2 of Moderna! The relief I feel is huge! I’ll still be masking up everywhere but maybe not always double filter double masking like I do now. I’m pretty obsessive. my dose 2 side effects were mostly 2-3 days hitting 6 hours post vaccine (extreme exhaustion)...

I think it's one thing to say, I don't want to get a vaccine because I don't know how I will react. I think it's another thing to say, I don't know that I want to get a vaccine because I've had a very serious reaction to the first (1, 2, 3, etc.) times I've received it. @hanca I'd consult with...

I have so much sick time (at least 2 months worth) so I could certainly take some if I need it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be ok.

I’m 100% work from home right now. As a result, I don’t need to be symptom free. Fever is gone and just some nausea so I’m sure I’ll be fine, but it doesn’t much matter for the walk to my home office. My office cat coworker doesn’t care! She only insists on sitting on my lap. Demanding, right?

I’m not quite 48 hours post moderna shot #2 and was feeling better last night but feeling pretty crappy this morning. All joint pain and body aches are gone as well as the headache, but I still feel super nauseous. I felt like I had a low grade fever this morning but I didn’t check since I had...

The Medical Thread: Vaccine Search / Staying Healthy / Treatments Etc

I got my second Moderna dose yesterday afternoon. 15-16 hours later and I have a fever, massive headache, chills, major body aches and extreme joint pain, and I’m nauseous. I’m sure I’ll feel better in the coming days though I feel awful now. I’m exhausted but can’t sleep. That said, it’s...

Re: arm pain. I'm actually planning to get my second shot in my right (dominant arm) on Friday. The arm pain was terrible and I had my first shot in my left arm. I sleep on my left side. This made sleeping awful. So, while the right arm may make daily tasks harder, at least I'll be able to sleep?

My husband is eligible in DE (and has been for a couple of weeks) but I need to find him an appointment. Nothing has been available north of Dover at Walgreens. There was a big vaccine clinic at Dover Downs on Sunday for K-12 teachers that they opened up to all educators and notified us about...

When and how should we open schools?

@tony i do see both sides. My brother is brilliant and a test taker who skated by on test scores. He didn’t see the need to do work in high school but his standardized tests were out of this world. He was the kid who had perfect AP scores without taking the AP class because his school wouldn’t...

When and how should we open schools?

So I feel like I should address my BSing my way through test comment. To be honest, I was always prepared for tests. With short answers/essays, I knew the answer 95% of the time. I was confident in my responses though I may have flourished some in places where I was less than completely...

When and how should we open schools?

One of our health science programs within one department admits students after the first year (they have other options within the department that all students are accepted in when accepted to the college). Students with a certain GPA are automatically accepted if they take the first year...

I got my first shot yesterday afternoon at a Rite Aid at a neighboring county. So far so good. I didn’t feel great last night (freezing cold and really tired, but I’m pretty sure I was just really cold and tired anyway), but other than a sore arm, I feel fine this morning. My body always reacts...

    News & Experiences continued

After getting my mom scheduled yesterday, I thought I'd take a few days off before trying to schedule myself. I'm a different category depending on the state I'm in. Turns out, in PA, I'm actually considered 1A due to immunocompromised state thanks to long-term corticosteroid use for asthma...
