I guess Milania tries to go the "Russian" way with a Russian Coach that provides her with a Russian partner. But that's just a guess, because it seems to be the easiest way to be more succesful.

Besides Metelkina/ Berulava the Swiss pair and the Ukrainians are medal contenders too. Maybe you could add them as well.

I must say I don't care much about the single jumps in pairs. A great throw, a beautiful lift or ds or a high twist and the overall skating as a team is what makes this diszipline special to me. At the moment Izzo/ Mayerhofer don't really impress me as a pair, rather than as of two good single...

Some misunderstanding I guess. We were talking about junior pairs and not senior pairs. And I really don't see much potential in the current junior pairs, who by the way would have been seniors if ISU wouldn't have raised the age limit.

There WAS enough time to fly them in, but fed didn't do so knowing with a team of three they'll have no chance to place 8th. And yes H/S would have been replaced entirely. So the whole German team better suffer the loss of a lot of funding? That's the situation we have now.
