Armenia has 5 participants in the whole Olympic team and besides A/R they are all competing in the mountains. So it seems like the only choice for Armenia to send A/R. They also have plenty of time before their competition starts.
I can't imagine a lot of countries will be setting up a new synchro team (within the age requirements) just for one competition. This is a lot of work.
If it's difficult for a team of 2 too meet the age requirements. How could it possibly be easier to have 12 to 16 people meet the requirements. I don't get it.
Even if the Australians might not be in best shape, it's two more months to go to the Olympics and if they aren't seriously injured why shouldn't they get the Olympic experience?
Different case with the Dutch, but maybe they get an exception. I don't know how strict the Dutch OC is.
So, no chance for them to compete this season. At least not at the Olympics and not at Worlds. That's really bad for Geinish who has qualified for both.
