I think she will get there. She's only 18, and if she weren't paired with Michael she'd still probably be at the junior level. He's what, 8 years her senior? I've watched her since she was in juvenile with Gordon and I have absolutely zero doubt she'll continue to improve at astonishing rates...

Unfortunately she placed 8th at her last GP, so she could win and still not make the final. I also think it's unlikely Zagitova won't podium in the end. But she should be very happy with her small medal!

Australia is very good about sending out their athletes as much as possible during the year. I'd be surprised indeed if they didn't send her out again, and probably very soon too. ... Just checked the fed's assignment page and she's signed up for a comp in Asia next month and one in Slovakia...
