    U.S. Ladies [#28]: Achieving 2020 Vision

Unfortunately she placed 8th at her last GP, so she could win and still not make the final. I also think it's unlikely Zagitova won't podium in the end. But she should be very happy with her small medal!

Rock the Rink 2019 (Virtue/Moir, Chan, Stojko, Osmond, Kostner, Abbott)

Yeah, especially for those of us who bought tickets only to have the shows summarily cancelled. Not that I'm bitter or anything...

U.S. Ice Dance 2019-20 season news & updates

Oh, I agree, that's what makes it difficult for me. There's not enough room, and I love the artistry of the older skaters while feeling for the younger ones. Oh gosh you're totally right. Where did I pull a random 7th team out from??

U.S. Ice Dance 2019-20 season news & updates

Agreed. It's hard, because I loved V/M and were happy they came back, but not happy because of the effect on the teams coming down the pipeline. I feel the same way with C/B and H/D to some effect, as much as I love H/D. When I look at Green/Parsons, whom I root for 100%, and I think at best...

U.S. Ice Dance 2019-20 season news & updates

Can someone get the Browns to a tech specialist stat? If they could just get their levels and bring that RD score up, they'd be a force to be reckoned with. That free dance is something special, and their GOEs are fantastic.

U.S. Ice Dance 2019-20 season news & updates

Well done to Green/Parsons at Lombardia! 170 and change, and they missed the podium by only two points. I think they'll be a good team together.

Wow, they look really good!! Thanks for the clips

    Australian skating news

Australia is very good about sending out their athletes as much as possible during the year. I'd be surprised indeed if they didn't send her out again, and probably very soon too. ... Just checked the fed's assignment page and she's signed up for a comp in Asia next month and one in Slovakia...

    U.S. Pairs 2019-20 season - News & Updates, Part X

Thanks a ton! I don't have instagram so miss a lot of those sorts of clips. Much appreciated! They do look good. Slow and hesitant still; they remind me of a couple on their first JGP season, which is where they would be if he weren't just old enough to miss the cutoff. :wuzrobbedI can't believe...

    U.S. Pairs 2019-20 season - News & Updates, Part X

Pleased to see Mokhova/Mokhov do well enough to beat both L/M and D/N in the free! I'm an M/M fan, in case anyone couldn't tell. :DHopefully they will continue to do well as they continue to up their difficulty! Obviously it's a very low result now, but it is their first senior comp and she's...

    U.S. Pairs 2019-20 season - News & Updates, Part X

Thanks, Sylvia! I had totally missed that info and I'm really glad you linked it. Aftershocks: Not yet, no, but they get more and more so every year. The first year I watched them at nationals (what you linked), it was almost comical how mismatched they were. I mean, she was only 10. Every...

    U.S. Pairs 2019-20 season - News & Updates, Part X

You know who I'm excited about seeing this year? Maria Mokhova/Ivan Mokhov. She's only 12 (13 now?) and he 19 (20 now?), so they'll miss being able to be on the international circuit entirely until she's 15. BUT they've been on the podium at every nationals event they've gone to, and I'm curious...

Caroline Green/Michael Parsons are a team

Agreed. I normally am not a fan of partnerships with such big age gaps when the younger is SO young, but Michael seems like a really great guy and Caroline seems very mature, so I think they'll do just fine. It'll be a huge adjustment for her to go senior so young though, and for both of them to...

Caroline Green/Michael Parsons are a team

I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty bummed. I've been watching the Greens and predicting their rise for at least three years now, and suddenly poof. Such a pity. I'm hoping Caroline and Michael make a good pairing though.

Montreal chosen as host for 2020 figure skating world championships

Yes, I had one of the most inexpensive tickets (most?) available for Boston, and it was $250 new. I think it even included the gala, although I didn't go. Montreal's cheapest tickets thus far are 3x that. I'm genuinely glad that so many people have several thousand dollars to throw at going to...
