    Body of Work history

I would say that the answer really varies by country. In the U.S., it wasn't really a thing until... hmm... Ashley Wagner got selected in 2014. Before then, it was simply the case that an "injury petition" could be filed if nationals was missed, but if you showed up at nationals and you did...

    Milano 2026 ticket prices revealed

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're suggesting, but I will state that I had an Airbnb host cancel at the tenth (not eleventh) hour before a holiday weekend, and I was surprised until I read the reason for it. Airbnb actually responded quite well. It refunded my money, gave me an...

Valieva Banned for Four Years, Effective December 25, 2021

Have there ever been public petitions to the ISU? This seems like a time when something big has to be done to show the ISU how disgusted the public is.

    Best/Favorite Daisuke Takahashi Program

It's quite a task to think of just one. Daisuke is an incredible interpreter of music. Some of his contemporaries should have been left in the dust behind his merited IN scores. For now, I'll enjoy the posts and links :).

2023 World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships on black ice, Oct. 4-8 in Lake Placid, NY

Debi's interpretation of the music blows away what Shcherbakova, Trusova, Liu and so many recent skaters have done. What a joy to watch.

What decade of skating do you rewatch most often?

The reason it's the '90s for me is because that's when I began watching and, to date, it was the decade in which I had the most time to devote to following sports without the constraints of work/little to no TV access/etc. I think there's a lot to be said for having the most interest in a time...

I appreciate the links to videos of 2022 Worlds, but here in the U.S., I am getting message that they are not available.

They were spectacular in that short program. I hope they will also be spectacular in the long program .

Mariah Bell cheer thread: Rise Up

Mariah has the "it" factor. So many of the skaters in front of her the past six or so years have not had it. The series of long programs at these Olympics really made that even clearer to me. Mariah's skate had soul, polish, AND joy. Sadly, that's a rare combo in her discipline these days.
