I don't think that's true. Russia is only 3 points behind Canada. If Osmond, Daleman or Chan have a bad skate, that 3 points could easily be regained. Perhaps the decision has more to do with Russia's medal priorities... Would they rather have gold in the pairs or in team?

Yes, short track, which happens to be a VERY popular sport in South Korea, is in the evenings. Since they share a rink with the figure skaters, it is not surprising that they would get the evening slot and the figure skaters would get the mornings.

While I appreciate Zagitova's technical abilites, the rest of her skating is just so... meh to me. There's no fire, no spark, just a well mastered sequence of elements. My dream Russian ladies team for the Olys. would be Medvedeva, Pogorilaya and Radionova, but I feel like not only is Zagitova...

I think they did when they were quite young. It was the same situation when she was with Katsalapov as well. They broke up only to be reunited a short time later.

It's off topic, but my dream pairing would Ilinykh/Bukin. While this whole thing is quite sad and I really don't want to see Bobrova/Soloviev's career end over this, if she is banned for a long period, I would like to see him keep skating... even if it is with a different lady. Not sure who he...
