I'm confused by this - everyone who got scores out of line with previous events either had much cleaner or much messier performances than their usual. The only team that I felt did have an inexplicable score were L/L - I thought they'd be nearer 120, and it's hard to see why their PCS has...
@Belsornia Agreed with you on Lopareva/Brissaud - they were a mess in the FD, even I could spot them losing levels on the one foot sequence and spin in real time.
Don't think you can really tell anything about who's trending up and down based on this event, because there were so many little...
It also hosted Euros in 2015 - I remember it being fine, nothing amazing or obviously irritating. Maybe the seats felt a bit set back from the ice? But it's super easy to get to from central Stockholm, and the atmosphere at the weekend when more seats were full was great.
I'm impressed at how calm Lilah & Lewis were skating today knowing they had a crack at beating the world champions. Still hate the program, but I'm pleased for them!
V-L/D were great too. Softer style really suits them.
Very respectable showing by the Brits at Nebelhorn. I'm amazed at how much V-L/D have come on over the summer. Their pair elements look much more secure, and they can actually perform a program rather than just white knuckling from element to element. Just a reliable sbs triple needed now...
I really hope that ISA is not just going with the "benefit of the doubt" approach when it comes to questions about whether a board member met their mandatory reporting obligations that are outlined in their own safeguarding rules.
I'm guessing from Ana's emojis that they are using The Crimson Wing soundtrack, including Arrival of the Birds/Transformation - would be a nice departure in style from the Survivor FS.
I really enjoyed the programs I watched - its interesting to see how innovative the skaters can be in twizzle positions when they don't also have to worry about matching with a partner. Alana Pang particularly had fantastic choreo slide & twizzle elements.
OK, I usually feel I'm pretty in the loop, but I have no idea why Julia Sebestyen shouldn't be talked about.
Mark was way too gushing in the RD, but had toned it down a lot for the FD - presumably as a result of the vocal feedback he was getting on twitter. I do wonder how much guidance he got...
It is 'inherently implausible' that an athlete at this elite level would take a homemade strawberry dessert with her across Russia and eat it during a competition period.
