Reviews of Adam Rippon's 'Beautiful on the Outside' memoir

I got a quick question about the book, is it text-only or are there any photos in it? (I'm trying to decide whether to buy the ebook or the hardcover and if there's pictures in it, I'd prefer the hardcover).

    The fastest girl in America

I doubt Konstanze did, since she joined very late, after I'd guess the worst methods weren't used anymore. I was incredibly annoyed by Konstanzes habit of constantly actively trying to whitewash the project and downplay what happened until the bitter end, when being asked directly in interviews...

    Imamov's interview with Savchenko

LOL, that's a bit mean, but I can sort of see the point. I like Aljona and admire her drive and determination , but actually I never found her to be a particularily nice to watch pair skater, because she was clearly never going to find a partner who was going to be good enough for her...

ISU announces YouTube live streaming of Grand Prix & ISU Championships in 2019/20 (geo-restrictions will apply)

I also don't think that is necessarily bad for visibility re: new fans. Many younger people barely know what classic tv is. And my cousin who is 19 or so does watch some shows from regular (German) tv, but she watches even those on Youtube, where they are partly available after the original...

    German Skating News 2019/2020

Can compete with Gelsenkirchen in terms of attractivity  But it would still be cool to have a bigger event in Germany.

    Netflix/Prime/Hulu Discoveries

I'm in the middle of Stranger Things season 3 now and loving it. I thought the first 3 episodes started of sort of slow and were lacking plot, but then from episode 4 it got really exciting. Might be my favorite season so far (except maybe that there's a bit too many "main characters" now, which...

    German Skating News 2019/2020

According to the the more detailed provisional time schedule (on the DEU page), they do seem to expect bigger fields at Nebelhorn Trophy this year, last year there were lots of breaks between the competition parts, which also started later in the afternoon and also the ending time for Thursday...

    BREXIT - The Final Countdown?

Boris Johnson's government is planning a Europe-wide media blitz to convince EU governments and citizens that the U.K. is serious about leaving, :rofl:Sorry...but...

    Dangers of a Trump Presidency--Part 7

The actual idea of "fail fast" is not at all that you instantly abandon something when something fails once, it just means that you try stuff out rather freely and get feedback from customers as early as possible to find out whether you're going into the right direction and if not you'll either...

    Netflix/Prime/Hulu Discoveries

I just finished Pose season 1, which was really wonderful. One of my favorite shows so far. Now I'm going for DARK Season 2 too.

Madonna - Is it the end?

For me Madonna is definitely a role model, for me she always sent the message that you can do whatever you want, be whoever you want and whenever you want, regardless of what other people or society or social norms say. And of course she was a very strong ally for the gay community in the 80s...

    Netflix/Prime/Hulu Discoveries

I liked season 1, but I'm also wondering how the whole "future" setup will work in season 2. But I'll certainly give it a try.

    Netflix/Prime/Hulu Discoveries

I just started "Pose", I was a bit sceptical, because the episodes are so long and I prefer series where the episodes are about 30 to 45 minutes long, but I'm really liking it. It's more serious than I expected and really moving.
