USFS protecting CP…. Things we’d love to actually see for once in their life.

R/A really felt like a retirement skate and G/Ps scores felt like the judges telling them to retire so if both of those things happen then they should still get a seeded draw on the Grand Prix next season

Good for them, they earned it. I have thoughts and feelings about what the scoring today means for next quad and USFS politics, none of them good. I hope they have a great Olympic experience and come back next season fighting.

This is so elegant and classy - love it! Also the back? Stunning! It feels like the back was designed to be a feature because so many of their moments will highlight it - the opening lift, the curve lift, the spin and the choreo slide

Cheered when I saw her GRWM and she got up at 7.30!! I imagine she’s feeling so much more rested and can finally have a life outside of skating, it must be so much better for her mentally

Also, although the rhythm is maybe a little unusual, the 15 minute breaks are also there during the frequent Steelers games so you'd think it would be better. As a fellow subdued responder in life I too would be this way in public and on camera haha So so happy for them!! Like so many of you, I’ve been such a big fan since their junior days and I’m so thrilled to see all the hard work and determination pay off. Such worthy Olympians!!

Would have loved for them to get 2nd (as I think they are overall a better team) but so so happy for them!! Big lessons learned this season on trusting their own instincts, responding to feedback and staying true to themselves. I’d rather this happen now than when they are battling more...

The new RD costumes are by Lisa McKinnon (I did think Christina’s dress had an Amber vibe) but I think these are some of their most successful costumes maybe ever? They should 100% work with her again.

That Moulin Rouge esque lift is such a great opener for the RD - the changes and costuming make it feel like a new programme which I think was important here. Makes me wonder though... why do they only seem to bring in Randi Strong when it needs a refresh - they maybe should try and get her...
