German Skating News - Part 3

Going to school once a week is certainly not possible here in Germany, but OTOH there are schools who offer special solutions for kids who are do competitive sports. BTW, I don't think that Germany is the only country all over the world where an athlete is expected to attend school in order to...

German Skating News - Part 3

Same here :( I certainly hope so, though I don't see it :( Sorry, I don't want to be negative, but well, I grew up when we had skaters like Rudi Cerne, Norbert Schramm, Heiko Fischer, Claudia Leistner, later Marina Kielmann ... And now? Can anybody with more inside knowledge tell me what's...

Eurovision 2016: We Can('t) All Be Heroes

    Songs You Dislike and/or Detest

Barbra Streisand is in a league of her own. This is even more obvious each time one of our modern divas dares sing a duet with her :p

    Songs You Dislike and/or Detest

Last Christmas - this is soooo not a Christmas song (maybe German teachers who make groups of small children sing it should read the lyrics first!)

Ode to the beautiful game... (Soccer)

Very obviously, the European federations are more interested in their priviledges than in the greater good. Who cares about human lifes? :angryfire Sorry for being bitter, but I just cannot stand this hypocrisy! We are always talking about democracy and transparency - but when it comes to stand...

Ode to the beautiful game... (Soccer)

In an interview yesterday evening, the president of the German soccer association (DFB), Wolfgang Niersbach, excluded boycotting the World Cup. :duh: :(

Ode to the beautiful game... (Soccer)

This reaction was totally predictable, even more so because it fits very well with Putin's analysis of the arrests in Zurich. Just like in old Cold War times, it's the :EVILLE: USA imposing their values on the rest of the world :blah::blah::blah: The timing wasn't coincidental? So what? This...
