Very sad to hear about Bradie withdrawing but I can't say I'm surprised. We haven't seen or heard anything from her all summer and it's not usual for her since she usually competes in at least one summer competition every year. Sad to say this likely means there's no shot at seeing an American...

I wouldn't call either girl wooden. Kalin's movements were plenty expressive enough for me--about what you'd expect for someone her age. And I found Petrosian to be expressive as well, especially her tango FS. She gave attitude and that sharpness to her movements that really sold the theme...

Back to Gracie... I thought the SP was good. I'm not crazy about her (or anyone who isn't Michelle) using EOE but I think the music is a good choice for her. It's a heavy-lifting piece meaning it does a lot of the work. I'm just happy she's not doing anymore pop-covers or melancholy...
