It's truly wonderful that whilst the Virtanens may not have the chance to compete in the Olympics themsleves, they can still live the Olympic experience this way, as a result of putting in huge amounts of effort and care in Krylo. We need more stories like this & thank you so much for sharing.

Sigh! What a traumatic time Livia has had. I am so glad the Swiss Olympic Committee made a humane decision. I really like her free programme this season and thought Shae Lynne Bourne was so fantastic in bringing out the nuances of the music. Oh well. Wish her Kimmie all the best in Milano ~

Absolutely wonderful news. Livia’s skating is beautiful and she overcame so much to earn the Olympic spot / earn the last minute nod from the Swiss Olympic Committee. Her programmes this year are also wonderful - just realize that Shae Lyne Bourne choreographed (full of lovely details).

Absolutely wonderful news. I am so happy for them. I hope they skate lights out in Milano. Also hoping that Kaiser gets the nod. She had to overcome a lot of adversity to earn that Olympic spot last year. And her “I”ll always love you” short programme is cheesy but heartfelt and beautiful :D

Have become a fan this season too. Absolutely wonderful ice dancers - such clean lines, great expression, and youthful energy. Fingers crossed for these two!!!!

So sad that Linnea ceder has no chance :( Lisko’s free programme this year is really lovely and I hope she gets the spot. I hope she will continue the long tradition of beautiful Finnish ladiezzz who have competed at the Olympics (starting from Mika kajas, then onto Alisa Drei, Kettunen...

Let’s hope all the stars align and these two can go. Just wish to add that like many, I am rather sick of Romeo and Juliet … but when I watched their performance at the qualifiers I was blown away. The youthful passion and freedom! It takes me back to my young days lol

This is the news I have been waiting for ... for quite some time. Tbh I have not got over the atrocity in Skate to Milano qualifiers. So, I really really hope that the Swedish Olympic Committee will let them go and that Milla's citizenship is resolved As for the Finns, I also simply LOVE them...

I support Livia! She (together with Kimmy) earned the precious Olympic spots at last year's Worlds. Yes, she barely made it to the free programme but I still recall that she delivered two spirited performances. I feel that her performances at NHK were slightly better than earlier in the...

What a relief for Hocke / Kunkel. Their journey to Milano has been a tough one. Glad they only just made it to the free last year in Boston, to ensure a spot. It's nice to see they have met the GOC's requirements (I recall they used to set really harsh requirements ... )

cannot believe it. Shirene was an extremely elegant skater who skated with such joy. She made history by qualifying for the free skate at both the Olympics and at Worlds in 2000. RIP.
