They also said they're intrigued by the changes coming next season, especially the choreo lift option. That doesn't surprise me at all. One less jumping pass in the FS is a good change for them and they're so good with the lifts, they get a chance to be creative & experiment.

Looking Towards 2026 Grand Prix Entries

Alrighty then... We can start projecting for Pairs seeing as there are no further pairs competitions this season! Seeded/Invited - Guaranteed 2 GPs - 20 out of 48 spots Hase/Volodin Metelkina/Berulava Pereira/Michaud Nagaoka/Moriguchi Pavlova/Sviatchenko Efimova/Mitrofanov Hocke/Kunkel...

2025-26 US Pairs Discussion - Milano-Bound By Way of Beijing & St. Louis

No kidding. First Liu two years ago and now Shin; plus we know that Kate Finster's mom was posting here on FSU hinting that he was the problem when they were partners back in their junior days. And I got the impression he left Pavlova high and dry with nary a word 4 years ago. Good for Audrey...

2025-26 Pairs General Discussion: Who Wants to Lift Forever?

Right? Germany, Canada & the USA are the only countries with more than 1 team competing at the senior level; and only Switzerland has a 2nd team that is/will be senior age-eligible next year (and they're nowhere close to the Sr CTES mins).

2025-26 US Pairs Discussion - Milano-Bound By Way of Beijing & St. Louis

Well, today was not bad, though not great for US pairs at Worlds. ChanHowe - she doubled the SBS 3t but other than that, they laid down a great program - L4 on every element including the 3tw and death spiral. They're sitting in 6th with 69.02 points, less than a point out of 4th place...

I saw that too and wasn't sure who was lifting Olivia and who Mark was lifting, so thanks for the identification. ETA - here's the photo - Luke is still on vacation in SoCal as far as I know - he was in a video clip with Starr & another skater advertising a summertime "Unity Ice Camp" being...

The Dance Hall 13: When You Dance on the Ice and Your Feet Twizzle Twice, That's Amore

Well, that's some revisionist history seeing that they have steadily advanced from 9th to 7th to 5th at Worlds from 2023-25. Yes, this season's material, especially the FD, were not great material; and the RD lacked a distinct identity to set them apart from the rest of a bunch of mid "90s...

2025-26 US Pairs Discussion - Milano-Bound By Way of Beijing & St. Louis

True enough. There are usually a handful of pairs competitions in November & January where they'd be able to earn CTES mins if they're good enough to be in the mix for a Jr Worlds assignment.

Well, I'm guessing they'll be aiming for seniors then since he'll need a release from France and won't be able to compete on the JGP next season.

2025-26 US Pairs Discussion - Milano-Bound By Way of Beijing & St. Louis

Natalia Mishkuteniok just announced a new pairs team - Katie Shen & Connor O'Grady. No idea whether they plan on competing junior or senior (in part because I'm not sure of their ages). https://www.instagram.com/p/DWPb4RbkaFc/?igsh=MTg2NmJyMzhzcmluZg==
