Oh, that's amazing to hear! I hadn't looked at the daily case numbers yet because I was kind of afraid to. And my region of Ontario, which is relatively populous in Canadian terms (around 600,000 people), reported no new cases yesterday, and only one today.

    Netflix/Prime/Hulu/BritBox Binge Watching: ******** Edition

I'm actually in Canada; maybe our Netflix just doesn't have the licensing for it anymore. I was wondering how everyone else was managing to watch it, and was hoping it had shown up on another streaming service. (We normally can't watch stuff on pbs.org either. Our local affiliate is called...

    Netflix/Prime/Hulu/BritBox Binge Watching: ******** Edition

All you Call the Midwife fans - which streaming service has it moved to? I had been watching it on Netflix, but then it disappeared. :fragile:

    Fire in Notre Dame Cathedral

This made me really sad - I think of Nantes as "my" city, since I went to university there. My parents sent me that BBC article on Sunday. :(

3rd annual Peggy Fleming Trophy - 2020 virtual edition

Emmanuel Savary was exquisite. I could watch that performance all day. :swoon:

3rd annual Peggy Fleming Trophy - 2020 virtual edition

Same here. I just gave up and started casting the browser tab to my tv, instead of the video itself. Not ideal, but it's working ok.

As the Page Turns (the Book Thread)

I read this one also - I think it might have been a recommendation from this thread. (Sometimes things show up in my library hold list, and I have no idea where they came from - but my default assumption is FSU.) Mystery/crime/detective/thriller novels are kind of my go-to when I just want...

    Masks, Shields and other protection

I bought both the red lace and the burgundy/blush crochet lace ones from here: https://narces.com/collections/face-masks They arrived today, and they are so pretty! A bit on the expensive side, but I'm justifying it to myself because I've spent basically $0 on clothing since everything shut...

Mask shopping is my new favourite hobby. :shuffle: I've only purchased from Canadian sellers so far, but I'm sure they would ship to the US. I have the office plaid and grey herringbone from this shop, the teal floral from this one, and a blue plaid one from this seller (although she appears to...

    Daily Gratitude Journal

Driving! I had to go into the office this morning because my work computer had somehow switched itself off, which meant that I couldn't access it from home. I had forgotten how fun it is to blast the radio while I'm driving! I haven't driven for more than 5 minutes at a time since March; the...

    Daily Gratitude Journal

I'm grateful for feeling good. I've been feeling... melancholy? just kind of down? for no specific reason. But I've actually felt reasonably happy for a few days now. Also, today is my co-worker's dog's birthday, and she sent me the most freaking adorable picture I have ever seen. 😍 Everyone...

    Food in isolation

I obviously don't live anywhere near Cardiff, but the idea of something called a "Cheese Cafe" has me drooling. Cheese is my favourite food group. 😍 (Wine is my favourite beverage group. :nopryde: )

    1996 Canadian nationals - Women’s free skate

Thank you for all these videos! 😍 I'll definitely be watching 2010 Nationals later; I was there in person, but I don't think I ever watched the tv broadcast.

I ordered some loose leaf tea a few weeks ago, and it arrived today. I am now enjoying an iced tea latte. :)
