Skate Canada International (SCI) 2020 to be held in Ottawa

I drove all the way to Montreal last year, and Ottawa is even closer - so I think I pretty much have to go. That's logical, right?

Have you read the Expanse series by James S. A. Corey? I read the first one and liked it, although I don't normally gravitate towards sci fi. My dad is much more into sci fi than I am; I bought him the first 3 books in the series for his birthday, and he loves them.

I like basically all detective series, so I will have to check this one out. Is this a series that needs to be read in the right order? I just looked in the catalogue for my local library, and they only have #3 and #6.

    2019 ISU Challenger Series

I was curious, so I decided to refresh the page again - it looks like some Thursday tickets are available now, if anyone is still trying!

Anyone else having any luck? I managed to get a ticket for Friday, but Saturday seems to be unavailable.

    2019 ISU Challenger Series

Me too! I eventually managed to get a one-day ticket for Thursday to show up, so I bought it because I figured it was better than nothing. But I'm hoping I'll be able to buy Friday & Saturday tickets tomorrow, or an all-event ticket and sell the Thursday one.

    2019 ISU Challenger Series

I was on the site at exactly 10 am, clicked on the "Purchase" button, and entered the pre-sale code - and all events were displaying as "not available". I know it sold out last year, but I would be pretty surprised if it sold out in less than 30 seconds. I'm not really sure what's going on, so...

    2019 ISU Challenger Series

The email I got just had a link to the eventbrite purchase page, and mentioned the promo code (FANS). I think you had to be on their mailing list to get the email, but I'm assuming anyone can use the promo code. Are you planning another conveniently-timed visit to your sister this year? :)

As the Page Turns (the Book Thread)

I recently read How to Stop Time, by Matt Haig. It's about a man who ages much more slowly than the average person - so he's over 400 years old, but looks like he's in his 40s. He of course has trouble dealing with the consequences of living such a long life, and then drama ensues when he meets...

Montreal chosen as host for 2020 figure skating world championships

It looks like there are still seats in the lower section for now, but when I selected the "P3" price option it gave me section 121, row V - which is in the upper rows of seats at that price level. If that's what it deems to be the "best available", then maybe they really are starting to sell...
