This is a great interview, thanks for sharing. She is quite talented and articulate. Worthy of much more than those atrocious Gleikhengauz programs she was saddled with in Milan.

For the record, I was longtime fan of Russian women's skating until about 2017 when Tutberidze/Gleikhengauz ruined the event.
"Light meth" is outrageous and bottom-of-the-barrel Russian propaganda, brought to you by Dr. Shevetsky.
Noted, toots.
Politically, yes, the USA is just as bad as Russia. However, their figure skaters do not systemically state-sponsored(!) dope. That's the difference.
Lmao. Thanks for the laugh, doll.
Sorry all, but ice dance is so cooked.
I thoroughly enjoyed men, pairs, and women at the World Championships, but dance was a mess and boring and more of the same lame controversy. I love the discipline, but the last ten years have been tough.
More bullshit elements--the "Creative Dance...
Harsh but true.
If she wants to continue, that's great, but I think a new approach in coaching and choreography would be necessary. Her skating and programs have been stagnant since 2020.
It made sense for the short program, but made zero sense to attempt it in the long program. Baffling strategy from her team.
Frustrating. I agree, her Nationals LP was one of my favorite performances of the last quad.
It might not be "politically correct", but I understand what you're saying and agree with it.
A world silver medal was hers for the taking, she nails the first half of the program, then falls apart in the second half.
I love her and her journey and what she stands for.... but I don't want to...
I'd argue Isabeau deserved 2nd in the short program. Literally the only edge call of the entire event. Kaori (whom I love and want to wim dearly) had a blatant flutz and not even a warning. Total BS.
I am no Zingas uber nor am I high, but Zingas/Kolesnik have improved almost exponentially the past two seasons. Major momentum. Carriera/Ponomarenko are so flat. They can turn it around but need a major revamp and POV in programs and packaging next season.
