    2018-19 Programs and Choreographers

That version of Carmen is one of the most horrendous things I've ever heard. Can't believe she's not only keeping it, but also chose a botched version of another famous aria for the LP! :wall:

Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir #48: Long Time Running

One rare example of exhibition program that includes competition-like twizzles. :D I love the modified beginning!

Jeez, this thread has gone off the rails. Thank you, @Fizz, @VIETgrlTerifa & others who make an effort to bring some reason into it...:wall:

Thanks for posting these links! Loved the interview, one of the best they've given post-Olympics.

That's a great interview, thank you! I love how he was excited to see Scott sing along with the music during the performance. :D

The Dance Hall 5: Ice Dance Fans 2017-2018

I am talking about the individual event. The lift got GOE 2 from two of the judges.

The Dance Hall 5: Ice Dance Fans 2017-2018

To say the panel of judges was pro-V/M is . If we look at the PCS in the FD, 4 judges put P/C first, 3 put V/M first and 2 gave them equal marks. In the SD, 6 out of 9 judges put P/C first, after a visibly shaky performance. Each judge clearly had an agenda and followed it through...

No, Tessa's choctaw was fine. They lost the other two keypoints. A bit mistifying... but I'm sure they'll figure out what went wrong. Score aside, it was a great performance, I'm so proud of them.

The English translation is very approximate. I doubt the nutritionist is travelling with them to every competition. It says she accompanied them to competition to better understand their schedule (probably at Skate Canada).

Even so, the American teams will put up strong competition. An Olympic gold medal is at stake. A win is a win - no "quote-unquote" necessary.

Happy to see some encouraging optimism on this thread. Because, really, after it's been established that Tessa and Scott have lost their easiness of blade due to old age, and that they don't even deserve second place... what could we still hope for?!

Very important point. And no, we won't.

Guys. It's neither the music, nor the programs. V/M have two great programs, they love them and are skating the crap out of them, and are also constantly improving them. Had they skated to a classical piece, the narrative would have been that they were repeating themselves. Had they chosen a...

No, they absolutely were not. It was a very intense, commited performance.
