Skating’s Elite Summer Sizzler - a show after US Champs Camp where you can watch US top skaters' new programs

Just watched it. I cannot believe how bad Starr Andrews’ music is. And my god Levito needs to skate to Appalachian Spring at some point.

    Favorite Documentaries

Free Solo is one of my favorites. Disney+ had one early this year (might have been late last year) about the music of John Williams, which was a great watch.

The tipping dilemma in the US?

That must have been a long time ago… minimum wage in Denver is now nearly $20/hour, and minimum wage for tipped employees is just under $16/hour. U.S. Women [#7]: Make Me a Believer!

By “doing their research” I meant enough to realize that Amber is dealing with ADHD and has specifically said that a long program is hard for her for that reason. I don’t expect them to have treatment suggestions or anything like that.

U.S. Figure Skating confirms that athletes, coaches, and family members were on American Airlines Flight 5342 that crashed in D.C.

For all the shit-talking we do here about USFS, it seems as if they are really stepping up and providing tangible support.

U.S. Figure Skating confirms that athletes, coaches, and family members were on American Airlines Flight 5342 that crashed in D.C.

I hope USFS is looking for volunteers to help kids who have lost their parents with legal/administrative stuff in addition to $$.

U.S. Figure Skating confirms that athletes, coaches, and family members were on American Airlines Flight 5342 that crashed in D.C.

Tommy Steenberg just posted this on Facebook: Franco Aparicio was one of the first skaters that I ever head coached, and I taught him and his sister, Isabella, from their first day of learn to skate until I relocated to Chicago in 2019. I was tickled with the progress he made year after year...
