It's almost as if there is a difference between being a 17 year old girl and a 35 year old married man who is a veteran of ice shows at this point in his pair skating career.
Tara Lipinski gave the impression that she thought it was all worth it when she had her hip done at 18. I think Mirai thought the same. I'm not sure what surgery she had recently but I think she said it was a result of training the triple axel.

Not mention completely unrealistic. She is 16. As if she is going to tell her coaches, parents, grandmother and the RusFed (in that order) I must leave and go abroad to pursue the true artistic side of this sport! The muse calls!
I'm literally torn. I really enjoy the shows where they interview skaters and coaches. But I am too thin-skinned or overly sensitive to enjoy their comments about certain skaters in their recaps. It just makes me cringe.
That said, it is their show. I just wish for a little less cruelty...

I really enjoy their interviews. And I don't expect them to be the second coming of Dick and Peggy when they are doing their recaps but if they are trying to promote interest in the sport maybe they could lighten up on some of the negativity toward certain skaters. Try...
This is what drives me insane about their Zagitova spiel. When she came out strong in the beginning of the season - "I think her jumps will start to deteriorate in 14 months or so." Never mind that she just had a great skate, it will all be over in 14 months. Ok, thanks for that.
