R&A have the best RD in the senior field this season, IMO. The event is generally close to home. They are likely near retirement. They finished fifth at the GPF, and one of the teams that finished above them has pulled out. More power to them. I hope they have a great event.

Maybe not, but he's said he plans to continue--no? Caroline is only 22 and they have plenty of goals to meet as a team. (In that way, not so very different from a certain U.S. team that has gone a good 8 years longer than plenty of skating fans were predicting back in 2018).

I'm more interested in where the Czechs finish myself. I hope both teams can capitalize on this opportunity and give the home audience a great show. (They can skate better than they did at the Olympics).

Goodreads reviews are a good thing, but they are not as helpful. It is harder for people to post reviews on Amazon, but authors/booksellers really do need reviews posted there. (I assume because this helps with the formulas that Amazon uses for advertising books to its massive reader base, but...

I'll add that publishers really do value the number of positive reviews published on highly-viewed & trafficked bookselling websites. If you want to help Gabi, publishing a positive review on Amazon (or whatever) is helpful and helps her sell more books.
