Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

It definitely wasn't the Ravens. Our kicker made all his kicks today and we beat Joe Flacco (although i do have to tip my hat to the guy, still out there at age 40) in our 30th season home opener! Glad they could come back strong after the collapse in Buffalo last week.

U.S. Women [#8]: Meet Me in St. Louis

Ting had ankle surgery in May. She's been posting clips of her PT rehab and it looks like she is recovering well but I don't think she's back on the ice yet. I didn't realize last year's Sectional champs have an automatic bye to this year's Sectionals....does that mean they don't need to...

U.S. Women [#8]: Meet Me in St. Louis

That was my reaction too. The program seemed empty, like a show program with more jumps. I assume her team did that intentionally, since it was clear at the beginning of the season that she lacked stamina, understandable after 2 years away (I was surprised they would choose something so high...

U.S. Women [#8]: Meet Me in St. Louis

Both programs sound like retreads/remakes of last year's programs. Granted, they worked for her last year but I would expect the judges to want to see something different (that feels a bit less like a show program).

Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

This is the second year in a row we opened the season on the road against the team that knocked us out of the playoffs the year before, and the game came down to the last second. I feel.that whoever does the NFL scheduling hates us. :drama:

    2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics - Figure Skating Qualification

Tamir and Lev competed at Middle Atlantic Champs this week, with Tamir winning, scoring 234 total, landing 4 quads in the FS (negative GOE on 2 but no falls). And no brain farts on spins. https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2025/36181/CAT019SEG033.html But I agree Mark is more...

In the best shape of their lives: The 2025 MLB thread

How has it been 30 years since Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrig's consecutive games record? I remember watching that game. It wasn't that long ago, was it? Cal just turned 65. He has been doing commercials for Medicare Advantage plans.

    2026 U.S. Nationals - St. Louis!

Just got an email from USFS that noted single-session tickets will go on sale next Wed at 10 am CT. It sounds like most of the all-event and weekend package tickets in the lower bowl will be converted to single-session.

    2025-26 Program Music and Choreographers

So which part of the "spark" does the backflip represent? I feel like it might be more profitable for Adam to focus on skating clean before he tries to create the universe?

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

2011 SA was in Ontario, CA and attendance was low. Attendance was also low for 2023 Nats in San Jose. I'm not sure USFS will be so quick to hold events in CA in the future. For Nats anyway, their preference seems to be mid-size cities in the Midwest. SA is probably dependent on who is willing to...

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

Yes, currently to USFS members in clubs in a specific geographic region. Then to the rest of the membership. I'm sure USFS just wants to sell tickets at this point, but many of us have been saying for years that they should offer discounts to skaters/families at the grassroots level. Posting...

    Nathan Chen Fan Thread #2

Having lived in Baltimore/suburbs my entire life (except for college and grad school), i'm aware of that. :) Not sure where you are, but most of us in the suburbs refer to our home as "Baltimore" when talking to out-of-towners. I don't think we need to get too technical for this particular...
