Maybe they feel like they can / should wait a little longer since Skate America will be in November. I also got excited though when I saw this thread bumped, hoping there was news!

SLC would have been fun but Tempe would be even better in November! And that arena is so conveniently located. Lake Placid is one of the few locations in the US that is out of the question for me.

I'd be happy with any venues mentioned here (and many others) except not Lake Placid. Salt Lake City would be exciting - major airport, lots of downtown hotels, and weather can still be pretty good in October. The Maverick Center is also served by light rail, which works pretty well.

Agree the attendance was better the first year but both years were pretty good. Maybe because Amber was there the first year? It seemed like a lot of local skaters came out to see her and that created more local interest.

I meant to ask this earlier but forgot with all of the skating excitement over the last few weeks. Does anyone know why Kam & O'Shea were not at Legacy on Ice? I was thinking it might be because of Danny's injury but probably not if it only happened a week ago.

The article made me even more skeptical of Jason and especially his coaching team. From the article, they all had planned for him to compete in more competitions during the 2024-2025 season, so why didn't they ensure that he broke in another pair of boots during the prior 2 years??

Having attended a lot of international skating events, the start time is often moved later but the end time is almost never, IME moved back. This is the case when skater withdrawals happen as well. I imagine a lot of countries already have TV contracts in place to broadcast the last X groups...

So I saw in the Men's thread that Jason Brown passed whatever his monitoring entailed, despite not having competed since early November, and is confirmed for Worlds. Is Isabeau confirmed for Worlds? It's interesting that she felt compelled to show a triple triple combo at the Legacy on Ice...
