    Thoroughbred Racing 2022

I was hoping they wouldn't run Rich Strike in the Preakness. The timing is too soon for any horse that ran in the derby. It's also too short a distance and doesn't fit his running style. They made the right choice. I wish the Preakness was at least 4 weeks after the KD.

    U.S. Men 2021-22 season news & updates

Zhou seems to be in a funk over his horrible luck at the Olympics. Then we have an unknown talented newbie and someone who works hard but has difficulty putting two good skates together in competition. I do think we needed Jason.

U.S. Women [#2]: The Unbearable Lightness of Beijing

At the very least, Alysa should go to Scali for a choreo tune up. The short was frantic, and missing a lot of choreo Abbott has said he was working around her past injuries to keep her healthy. She just looked so much better under Scali/Abbott. Maybe all the silly things like painting their...

Starr in the top 3 would be chaos. Extremely unlikely, but still.

Alysa Liu Switches to Colorado Coaching Team

There is no doubt that Colorado Springs has better facilities available than Oakland. I do think Italy was a mistake.

Alysa Liu Switches to Colorado Coaching Team

My guess-Massimo and Jeremy told Liu what he didn't want to hear. Alysa looked fatigued at NHK. The training/conditioning/nutrition/psych supports available in Colorado Springs may help her. It just seems like a better set up for someone at Alysa's level. (although there may not be enough...

Alysa Liu Switches to Colorado Coaching Team

Alysa looked fatigued at NHK. Altitude training should help with stamina. To me, she seemed to be improving more before she started going to Italy. Maybe they thought she needed OTC support? Maybe Scali et al didn't want to push her as hard as her Dad wanted? I just hope she doesn't get injured...

U.S. Women [#2]: The Unbearable Lightness of Beijing

At least Bradie was assigned, but withdrew. Alysa should have been assigned here. Instead, Alysa has two difficult GP's. I hope Starr and Audrey do well. Not sure what to think about Amber. All the talent, but she hasn't been competing up to her potential this season.

Very happy for Starr!!!! Also sad that Alysa wasn't initially assigned here.

Tarah Kayne details abuse allegations against sanctioned coach Sappenfield

It's not really supporting Tarah. I can't just keep giving Alexa the benefit of the doubt when she makes statements like this.

Is Alysa currently training in Italy, or is she back in the Bay Area?

U.S. Women [#1]: The Contenders Unmask Themselves

The advantage to Alysa going to Skate America is an easier chance at making the GPF. Sometimes the US fed just shoots itself in the foot.

U.S. Women [#1]: The Contenders Unmask Themselves

Alysa has the difficult GP events. It is unfortunate, especially if Bradie isn't recovered by Skate America. Bad luck to not have JGP last season, have a growth year, and be 4th at Nationals. When the GP's were assigned, how could they know Alysa would improve so much? Alysa would be better off...
