Actually every French medalist receives a distinction. The gold medalists receive the "Legion d'Honneur" or an upper grade as Martin Fourcade i.e. And Silver and Bronze ones receive this "Ordre National du mérite". It would have been great if a ceremony was hosted by the Government as they did...
