I’m still hoping she gets back together with Katsalapov.

IOC's decision: (clean) Russian athletes can compete under neutral flag at PyeongChang Olympics

If any decision is going to be made - it better be quick. Opening Ceremonies are in a week and a half.

    1987 Worlds- was Kadavy robbed?

I love Witt - she deserved the victory that night, but IMHO - that 86-87 short program was the worst of her career. She always had such great shorts, but that one sticks out like a sore thumb.

Predict US ladies national champion in 2018

I voted for Bradie. I know we had the “pacing” explanation for Ashley, but Bradie is the only one who has skated at the Grand Prix like she really wants to win this.

Have you ever crushed on a skater?

As a teenager I fell in love with Katarina Witt and she helped me fall in love with the sport.

    Scandinavian skater's news thread

You all beat me to this. I was totally impressed by Selma at the Brisbane JGP. I was hoping she would climb a little more in the final standings. That triple-triple was impressive and she really sold the program.

Trixi Schuba DID have a double axel!! 1971 documentary interview.

Thank you so much for posting these links. I have two observations: The first - I enjoyed Sonja Morgenstern. Isn't it interesting that Jutta Mueller was a card carrying member of the GDR communist party, yet she always favored Western music and style for her skaters? The second - No one can...

What's Old Is New Again: New Articles Re: Figure Skating History

Katarina was only 14 in 1980. I have always wondered why she never competed at the Junior Worlds. I think her major international debut was at the 1979 Europeans - she would have only been 13 there.

Figure skaters that drew you into Figure Skating?

Dorothy Hamill way back in 1976. I stopped watching for a few years and then Katarina Witt in 1984 brought me back. I have been a faithful follower since then.
