That's exactly the problem with figure skating though. And I mean I suppose components are OK, but the the GOE on elements were also high. That twist, throws, spin were not in +2, +3 territory. Then we go out on international ice and wonder why we aren't doing well in scores.

I get what you mean but he obviously had a bias that was documented that he purposely scored former Russian skaters skating for different countries now- lower than others. There's no way there isn't even a hint of politics involved.
