Popes do have an influence far beyond the Catholic Church though considering how many Catholics there are in the world that in itself is a huge influence.
Pope John Paul II also advocated for the environment in an influential way
But its not that he was some political or theological liberal...
FYI I've moved the US-centric political discussion of the new Pope to PI. Please join if you'd like.
We're outside of PI here and there is much else to post about this new Pope here.
You mean the one who is actually harming and perhaps even bringing down the country?
My hope for a pope since the Catholic Church is not my business is that he speak for peace and for the impoverished voiceless, who this pope apparently spent his life working for.
I made you go even when it turned out you hadn't booked the flight you thought you had in August of that year.
But I actually loved the drive from Albany to Lake Placid. Even though it was November, the weather was beautiful and so was the scenery. And there were few cars on the road...
So assuming that USFS is playing a big role in getting Shibs back, maybe the fact that those two teams may not be eligible to go to Olys has something to do with it?
I don't pay much attention to that, can someone summarize where things are for CPom and Z&K in terms of citizenship?
See this is what makes sense to me. Sure USFS is touting Shibs return but because they have a lot of fans and it generates interest. I don't see them dumping C&B for them.
Now can Shibs beat GrePar or Z&K? I think they'd have to do that with their actual skating, at least for Z&K they are ice...
I always hate comebacks.* They disrupt the way I thought things were going to be and make me :drama: But they keep happening and I've learned to live with them.
*that's a lie, there was one comeback I loved :shuffle:
