It breaks my heart when I think about the excitement and accomplishment those young skaters and their families had during the Nationals and the NDC, and now being in this horrible situation. Prayers for all the people involved in this tragic accident.

In his announcement, Yuzuru used the word "入籍, " meaning officially/legally registered to marry someone. In Japan, same-sex marriage is not legalized yet, so it's natural to assume he is married to a woman. But seriously, does it even matter who he is married to???

It also goes the other way around. There are so many parents who are verbally and emotionally, sometimes physically, abusive to their sons/daughters, and their coaches, rink staff, and even USFS just look the other way. The more successful those skaters are, the less likely the adult around...
