Those TES minimums for Women for Worlds got really high, imho too high. I get they don't want to have 40+ ladies competing in the SP but it looks like an overkill to me.
Their infamous Original Dance though overshadowed them completely. Just thinking about it makes me cringe.
But they were fantastic skaters anyway - especially in compulsories, if not for Shabalin's knee issues they'd have achieved more I reckon.
This decision makes little sense for me, a retirement after 1 international senior season, am I right? I am very disappointed and it's obviously a big loss for American figure skating. This made me sad. I get the impression that followed Alysa as we the spying drama etc. it is not shocking like...
I have rewatched it two weeks ago and it is still beautiful! Damn, her lines, artistry were actually exquisite there, and she gave two clean skates. People liked to marvel over Kwan and Cohen spirals but Sarah Hughes spiral sequence was breathtaking as well.
I think the hate comes from a couple...
You were not even impressed by that section of "Winter" where Yagudin does plenty of little steps on his toe picks perfectly matching the melody of the violin?!
It was Alexei that made me want to start figure skating trainings as a kid albeit sadly the closest club to my home town was 200...
Speaking of which ... can anyone provide me an example of any skater skating to "Wuthering Heights"? Can be even out of exhibition.
I don't recall anyone.
