2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

Some of the fields are underwhelming, especially pairs, but enough of my faves are competing including Alysa, Jason, Chock/Bates, Kevin, Mikhail, Wakaba, M/K, La/La and Lara and Kazuki. Plus there are all those TBD spots for the US which could be interesting. I'm hoping the Browns and Jacob...

"Legacy on Ice" benefit show in D.C. (March 2, 2025) and ways to help those affected by the air tragedy over the Potomac River

Thanks for the info on the presale. I DM'ed the IG account and they mentioned a presale but no code or further info. ETA : Code isn't working. Is it correct or is there a problem on their end as usual?

"Legacy on Ice" benefit show in D.C. (March 2, 2025) and ways to help those affected by the air tragedy over the Potomac River

I hope to attend this as it's an easy Amtrak ride and the rink is about 10-15 minute walk from the train station. I'm following the Philly Skating Club IG for ticket info.

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

This may not apply to anyone other than folks like me taking the Amtrak from Penn Station or stations between Penn and Westport, but I found this interesting and forewarned is forearmed! The trip to Westport is about 7.5 hours but the return trip is 6.5. It turns out that a few months ago...

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

Looks like USFS did finally send out emails to those inquiring about tickets this morning. Rant Alert incoming... Complaint #1 - the seat map they provided STILL doesn't show the difference between the P1-3 spend levels, the color coding is just the difference in seat types including ADA...

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

In case anyone was wondering, most of the seats available are P2 level pricing. Only P3 seats are in the last few rows in the corners near the KnC and across the way. My friend was able to get 3rd row seats across from the KnC for the P2 price.

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

Thanks for the info. I see the press release that tickets go on sale Thursday at noon for the General public. I signed up for emails from USFS and got nothing yet from them. I asked on X what is the difference between P2 and P3 in terms of location. $500 for the first two rows is price...

    2025 Spring/Summer Club Ice Shows & Benefits

One of the reasons I took the trip was to see David skate. I had seen OIP's videos of him from previous shows in the Delaware area and I just had to see him in person. Of course I wanted to see Alysa in all her WC glory, but I had seen her a few weeks prior at Worlds. I hope ITNY invites...

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

For those who may be taking Amtrak from NYC or elsewhere along the Adirondack line, I reached out to a reputable car service company with good reviews called Northern Lights for a quote to drive from Westport train station to Lake Placid. The owner Derrick told me they charge $200 to drive to...

2025 Skate America: Lake Placid (official 5.6.2025)

Tickets went on sale in June for last year's SA, so I imagine it would be similar timing. The assignments also come out in June, so hopefully we will know who is competing beforehand. I hope Bradie and the Shibs will be there, they competed in 2017.

    2025 Spring/Summer Club Ice Shows & Benefits

Per, @YukiNieve request, I'm copying my post from the old thread. I attended the Open Road show in Newark DE at the Patriot Ice Center this past Saturday. The show was worth the travel from NYC via Amtrak to see World Champion Alysa Liu, who did a show version of her Donna Summer FS, Four CC...

I'm also in Manhattan - is there a specific car service you use or just reserve an Uber or Lyft in advance? I would plan to come up on the 13th and there is only one train that arrives in Westport at 2:36PM.

    2024 Spring/Summer Club Ice Shows & Benefits

I attended the Open Road show in Newark DE at the Patriot Ice Center this past Saturday. The show was worth the travel from NYC via Amtrak to see World Champion Alysa Liu, who did a show version of her Donna Summer FS, Four CC bronze medalist Jimmy Ma and the amazing solo ice dancer David...
