That hasn't been my experience. I have always been able to click on the expired tile and have it say "replay available soon" - until today. It's back now.
Yes, women's short was taken down and then restored. Now the men's short tile has disappeared. I hope that gets restored too. Whoever is in charge of the figure skating tiles must be new - I hope.
As of now, mine says there is only 4 hours left to watch - that matches with about midnight, eastern time.
Just checked pairs - that one says 2 days. There must be some rights issue with some of the music for women's.
The announcement on US Figure Skating says - All-session tickets for championship-level competition.
Not only does it not say anything about junior, it does not say anything about practice either. Did someone mention "growing a fan base"?
I also think it's hard to say. Some of our best skaters won't be there, which could be a danger. On the other hand, there are a lot of skaters from other countries that won't be there either, which gives skaters with lower results to move up.
Tiles are up for Worlds. Some of it says world feed. Some of it doesn't. I'm thinking I will wait until tomorrow to put everything in "my stuff" in anticipation of changes.
No practices are listed as yet.
Something to think about. However, given historical attendance figures for Nationals the year after an Olympics, I don't think that will be a problem. Anyone who does try scalping with the first 2 rows of tickets may find themselves selling at a loss.
I remember someone being worried they...
Since novice will be part of the U.S. Figure Skating Development Team Championships the previous week, I think they will have to restructure the way they price those competitions.
Thanks for the reminder about the All-event ticket
The end zone at the Maverick center is not bad. I sat there for SOI a few years ago and it was fine. There's not really a nosebleed problem at the Maverick Center. I don't remember that there is a problem with obstructed viewing either (unless it's with NBC cameras etc.).
The Maverick Center will also be the home of figure skating for the Olympics in 2034. It is a smaller arena but very well suited for skating events with good sight lines. Spectators are down by the ice and not up 10 feet. I have no problem sitting in the seats and the stairs are not too...
I always go back to his "smaller" movies -
The Stone Boy,
Tender Mercies (a particular favorite)
The Chase
And his first appearance on the big screen as Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird
