I think the IOC overestimated interest in this. Honestly, I'm not sure why we have a Gala at the Olympics.

The pressure on her is ridiculous. She made one error across two programs on a jump that's never been consistent for her and she was basically forced to include in order to have any shot at a medal. And even with that mistake she was less than five points from the bronze. She has nothing to be ashamed about. Of course I understand she wouldn't feel that way because she was raised in a system of negative reinforcement, and that's the real shame here.
