2026 Olys Pairs FS PBP - Are We Not Entertained?

Well I guess we thank the tech panel for missing the Japanese two foot and ur errors tonight.
Would it have mattered? Are you saying that the Japanese should not have won? Cause I'm fairly sure there were some calls that should have made for H/V and M/B as well. The positive GOE on the lift and the death spiral for the Georgians is a FAR worse crime IMO.

For all the hair pulling about how close dance and men were to the team event I think it's got to be more exhausting for the pairs and women who skate both as that is a long break between both events and it must be exhausting to hang in there waiting for their event.

I agree, it wouldn't have mattered, had the tech panel not overlooked Riku's blatant two-footed & under-rotated 3s - and that actually makes it even more egregious that they didn't review it. It matters that they & the judges were so set on Miura/Kihara winning that they didn't do their job for something that was obvious in real-time to many observers both in the arena & at home.

I wanted Minerva and Nikita to have the silver :drama:

Now Luka will have no pressure to improve

Also loving everyone reactions, Ryuichi is :wuzrobbed(I have the feeling that Riku has the patience of a saint) everyone hugging, a lot of smiling, good for everyone :cheer:

Why would he with the way they are being scored, especially on those lifts 🤷

I am kind of happy with the podium. Pity that the mistakes always seem to creep in for H/V when they are first after the short. Still happy they have a medal .
The Japanese definitely deserved the win here.
Don't really like the Georgians but she is a rock star (and clearly very brave, these lifts :yikes:),so good for them I guess.

I don't know, I wasn't aware it was a 9.5 point spread at the end given they were a ways back after the SP. And no, I'm not saying they didn't deserve the win. The Georgians lifts still achieved level 4, even if I (and you, and many here) find the GOE to high. But a two foot throw and an ur jump would have resulted in big deductions that didn't appear to happen.

Again, happy the Japanese team won. Meh about the Georgians, sad for Minerva and He-Man.
