Wow these quads. I don’t want to clap, but I can’t help myself. They look equal to or better than Malinin’s. Five! We may already have the quad god title at risk. His quads are better than his triples and there’s not much of a program, but this will still move waaaaaaaay up.

He has natural spring to his jumps so they look like less work.

Now to the important question of the comp: when am I allowed to start drinking?

Girrrl, I been knocking 'em back since Donovan. I can't be sober and listen to the Russobots screaming. Or Scott Hamilton on NBC for that matter. The internet quality is so low, I can't stay on Peacock Venue feed for more than a few minutes without it stopping/buffering.

Gumennik is definitely looking stronger today than he did in the SP. We'll see what the tech panel does with his rotations - I think 3 of the first 4 are marked for review, IIRC. And all three in the second half are under review. He's not bad - seems to have slotted in right where the Russian men had been doing internationally before they were banned.

Gumennik some nice jumps, some ugly jumps (probably UR) and a lot of looking down at the ice with not much interpretation or stretch. Tech will move him up, but even Shaidorov tries harder for the 2nd mark.

He did his job under very difficult circumstances and won't be trashed by the Russian fans since he got the spot over Dikidze or Semenenko. If he makes top 10, everyone will be happy.

I'm glad he did as well as he did after all the hype. It wasn't the most exciting programme but I liked him in juniors and he's definitely got it in him to be a more interesting skater.

Apparently he was made to feel really welcome by a lot of the other skaters.

I can see that being in the top three in the FD portion but unless there are some epic meltdowns, I don't think it will make it to the podium. I remember when a lot of us were wondering what would happen to skating sans-Rossiya and now I'm like, nope, don't miss 'em.

He showed more personality in the KnC than he has this entire Olys. Where has THAT skater been? That skater needs a gimmick and a Johnny Weir shirt, stat.

I really wanted to make it back in time for Marsak, but it seems unfair of him to skate to Ilia's "I'm Tired" music just to taunt me.
