Meh. Ice dance is sort of the trashy telenovela I follow. Singles and pairs skating is the tv shows that I think are of real quality.

Since we have an off day tomorrow and I recorded both programs in full, I think we are going to do another deep dive like we did with GPF. not being able to ever use any broadcast clips hurts our explanation ability a lot.

Looking forward to that, I learn a ton when you do it (and I recognize what you're talking about w/ edges and blade control & skating skills, I'm just much more drawn to the highlights & performance in dance).

I met Guillaume and Laurence last June at their rink in Montreal and Laurence was so adorably sweet. They were still in the choreo stage of their Depeche Mode program that was scrapped. She saw me sitting alone in the 2nd floor lobby and the two of them approached me in the stands and asked if I am enjoying Montreal and if my kid was enjoying the tryout (my kid was beyond ecstatic sharing the ice with them). I was really impressed with her kindness then. I am a huge huge Depeche Mode fan so I told them I really enjoyed their program. Watching them back in June, while I didn't think they'd win gold today, but I thought they were already so good then.

Sad for Chock and Bates but it was a great competition

FBC fell in the FD. The RD was BARELY a lead for C/B.
