2026 US Figure Skating Pairs SP "Choke and Stagger"

Even @Karen-W said they were generously scored. Although I doubt she's disagreeing with it. :P
Well, by international standards, they WERE generously scored. So were all of the teams skating here today. It's hard for me to judge FitzBear's score since all we got was the stationary camera/jumbotron view; but I'll remind you that WilLew had a fall on their throw also AND they only attempted SBS 2As. Scores looked fair for both of those teams based on what we saw on the stream and neither of them are close to ChanHowe's NORMAL level for PCS - which is really what held them up today more than anything else. Soooooo, on the whole, I don't think their placement is wrong and I don't think their score, relative to what we saw from the rest of the field, is wrong.

Damn it Peacock, are you really going to force us to watch the Johnny/Tara feed that will include some pairs replays? Is there no feed just for the Women's short?
Yes. And No.

I have to say, showing all the Pairs just now is better than I expected. Even if technical issues made us miss the first two teams.

Congress isn't even in session on Friday and the Pairs FS is Thursday. I don't get what NBC is at.
In the preview available on Peacock, I swear I heard Johnny say she couldn't represent the US because she has a Finnish passport. A bizarre, obviously wrong statement. Maybe I misheard.

So, here's the thing - there's two ways she can have her citizenship expedited per the SCoB web page about Alisa's citizenship quest. First would be a private Member's bill through Congress that Trump signs - that seems highly unlikely. Second would be if Trump issued an EO authorizing CIS to waive the remainder of waiting period since she's had her green card for about 18 months already. Apparently, this can be done, but I'm not sure whether or not it would hold up in court should some other affected party sue & force a court to issue an injunction on the EO. Either way, I can't see it happening in the next two days, but maybe something will shake loose tomorrow or Friday after the SP results today.

She can't represent the US at the Olympics because she only has a Finnish passport. Not sure why you think that is a bizarre or obviously wrong statement.

There seem to be two Peacock tiles for the Ladies. One just ladies and one called Pairs and Ladies.
